Welcome to Lenoir City Schools

Your human resource director or agency benefits coordinator will be able to answer any benefits-related questions you may have and help you enroll. You may also contact the Benefits Administration with health insurance questions. 

 

Lenoir City Schools offers health insurance coverage through the state and dental & vision insurance through Ameritas. The district also offers supplemental insurance coverage through USAble. 

 

  • Benefit premium deductions are paid a month ahead and can only be added, changed, or canceled during open enrollment or due to a qualifying event due to marriage, divorce, loss of coverage, or birth/ adoption of a child. Please see Page 3 of the health insurance form for detailed information.

Establishing Prior Service Credit in TCRS

When an employee joins TCRS, they begin receiving employment credit with their participating employer. The credit is called membership service and is based on salary and service information reported to TCRS by the employer.

Prior Service or “Service Purchase” is the establishment of service other than the membership service reported by the employer while a member is actively working.
